Parasitic Creation is the conceptual framework. When the Work Leaves comprises two distinct works, each originating from a different artwork and mounting structure.

When an original artwork is remounted and its image field is returned, the hanging-scroll structure that once depended on it remains. After the image leaves, a structure formerly serving as subordinate labour and a condition of display becomes independently visible as a work.
